5 Day Report

It is hard to believe that it has been only 5 days since the new Netherland Dwarf arrived.  Today when we peaked in to see how the 5 day old kits were doing when we noticed they have their fur coats coming in. Happy to find today that we have six chestnut and one little otter.

This little Chestnut is starting to open his eyes at day 5.

Cute little ears easily perk up at the slightest sounds.

Close up on that cute little nose!

Snuggled in the 2nd nesting box we find one little Otter.

His little eyes are already open.

What a big boy... so wiggly!

Mommy watches as we gently handle the babies.

Day 3 in the Nesting Box

It is like CHRISTMAS morning the first day you look into the nesting boxes.
Baby ( Chin) had four new kits and Beam (Chin) had two kits and one peanut.  It is Beams 4th litter and she doesn't seem to carry to many.  Her largest litters to survive has only been 2.  Last litter she only had 1 Doe Black Otter.

From the looks of it on day 3 we have a few chestnuts and maybe an Otter.  We are hoping for at least 1 chin.

They are not all that cute in the first weeks after birth.  Week 2 photos will be much cuter  so I hope you stop back soon.

Rabbit Shed Up Date

The rabbits are now moved into their new home. Check out the cages I purchased from Cindy Harper out in Tiffin, Ohio.I am keeping my older cages that were purchased at Tractor Supply for my rabbits that are in the nesting boxes.

FOR SALE

As of today I have 2 chins in the nesting box with 6 new kits. Not sure what will come of these litters because they are only 1 day old. I do have a 2 year old Otter DOE for sale. She is great for breeding or just to own as a great pet.
